MEET OUR EXPERT COACHES
General Manager & Head Coach
Carl spent 10 years playing competitive roller hockey and skateboarding before turning his attention to weight training and eventually CrossFit. He specializes in Olympic weightlifting “I always knew my purpose was to help others,” he says. “I realized that running a successful gym broadens the impact I can make to more people as clients but also provides greater opportunities for coaches wanting to make their impact.”
Coach & Nutrition Coach
Jimmy has been CrossFitting for five years and specializes in applying functional fitness to everyday life. He loves helping members achieve things they never thought possible. Jimmy played baseball at Palm Beach Atlantic University, but missed the competitive atmosphere and eventually found it again in CrossFit.
What Noah loves most about coaching is the personal relationships between the members and staff at El Cid that “makes us who we are – The El Cid CrossFit Family!” Noah has a bachelor’s degree in Human Sport and Performance from Palm Beach Atlantic University – He’s always been into fitness, starting his journey “in the stereotypical globo-gym wearing string tanks tops and carrying around a gallon of water.” He got tired of the same old thing and found CrossFit – which was an immediate addiction.
Office Manager & Kids Coach
Katie loves teaching kids how to be physically active while having fun. “I believe that it is important for everyone to be the best that they can be when it comes to their health and fitness”. What she loves most about coaching kids is watching them develop their athletic skills and strength. “Children are quick to learn when it comes to new movements,” she says. “I enjoy getting to teach them at young ages how to do these movements properly and have fun while doing so.”
A lifelong multi-sport athlete, Erica was offered multiple basketball and softball scholarships out of high school. “I’m also amazing at dodge ball,” she admits. You’ll know which classes she’s teaching because you’ll hear ub-peat loud music. In addition to CrossFit, Erica loves traveling, living among other cultures, different styles of exercise, taking proper care of her body, all types of food, Duke Basketball, and Mike Krzyzewski.
